Courtney Rollings Latham M.Ed., BCBA
Ms. Latham earned her undergraduate degree at The University of Alabama in Multiple Abilities, receiving a General and Special Education Professional Teaching Certification. She then went on to complete a Master’s Degree in Special Education at Walden University in 2014, while working full time as a Special Education Teacher. During her time as a Special Educator, Ms. Latham found that teachers were struggling with a wide range of behavior and minimal training to manage said behaviors. After this realization, she went on to pursue her coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) at Florida Institute of Technology, completing the coursework in 2016. While completing the coursework, Ms. Latham became a Registered Behavior Technician to gain experience in the world of ABA. Still working full time, she completed the coursework and passed the Board Exam to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in 2017.
After passing the Board Exam, Ms. Latham finished the year out as a Special Education Teacher, at a school centered around students with Autism Spectrum Disorder or Related Disabilities. She then moved into one of the BCBA positions, becoming a member of the Leadership Team.
In 2019, Ms. Latham conducted a case study on Reducing Voluntary Vomiting and Spitting in the Public School Setting Using an Interdisciplinary Approach and presented it at the Florida Association of Behavior Analysis Conference. Now that Ms. Latham has a family, it has became more and more apparent that directing Progressive Pediatric Therapy Services of Jacksonville was the best option for her and her family. She is so excited to share her passion for Applied Behavior Analysis and education with everyone she can!
