Volunteering

There are several documents below that will assist you in becoming a volunteer with us. Follow the steps outlined in the attachment “My Steps to Become a Volunteer.”
Areas for General Volunteer work:
Child Care: We provide care and education for infants, toddlers, twos and VPK. Children ages 6 weeks through 5 years old with and without disabilities will be present in this program. Hours are 7:30am – 6:00pm.The Learning Center (TLC): Our private school serving over 30 children with special needs ranging in age from Kindergarten to 12th grade. We follow the Leon County School calendar. School starts August 17th, 2015 and runs through May 27th, 2016. The 2016/2017 school year resumes August 22nd, 2016.
After School program: Monday through Friday from 3-6. Kids participate in group Music Therapy, Arts and Crafts, Obstacle Courses, homework help and activities to increase social skills. This program follows the same schedule as TLC listed above.
Summer Escape: Our Summer camp caters to children with special needs. It runs June 1st – August 19th, 2016 from 8am -5pm, Monday through Friday.
All of these programs are geared for children with special needs. You will get hands-on experience playing and helping with a range of abilities. We serve all children - including children with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, mood disorders, etc.
